October 2019 College Accomplishments
• College for a Day gave high school seniors the chance to explore
their local EFSC campus, with 418 seniors from 20 schools
participating, a 20 percent increase from 2018.
• Five Parent Preview Nights gave parents interested in dual
enrollment for their children a chance to learn about EFSC with
over 800 attendees, a 30 percent increase from 2018.
• More than 900 students and guests attended 49 tours across
all four campuses, including large field trips that consisted of
multiple schools participating at once.
• The Go Higher, Get Accepted campaign reached a new record in
visiting 20 high schools, logging 1,000 attendees and 724 students
applying for admission.
• Specialized marketing events and campaigns were held, which
focused on targeted populations to increase enrollment in
workforce programs.
• The programs included Aerospace Technology, CT/MRI Info
Sessions, Pharmacy Technician, RN to BSN, Bachelor Degree
Programs and Transportation and Logistics.
• The Dare to Finish campaign used workshops and YouTube
information sessions to recruit former students back to the
classroom, with 160 reapplying for admission, registering for
classes or graduating.
Website Redesign Project
• The lab was built through a $2.7 million state grant with other
money used for additional high-tech training labs for key
workforce technology programs.
• The hands-on program trains students to design, operate, test
and repair robotic equipment systems.
• Robots are used in many fields including medicine, advanced
manufacturing and space exploration, giving graduates local
career opportunities.
• The curriculum allows students to earn a College Certificate
as a Robotics and Simulation Technician, which can lead to an
Associate in Science Degree in Engineering Technology.
• It also offers convenient afternoon and evening sessions
for working adults who want to enhance their advanced
manufacturing skills for career advancement.
Targeted Recruitment Campaigns
The College’s Office of Student Recruitment and Enrollment
Marketing conducted a number of specialized campaigns
throughout the year targeting prospective students in high school

The College began an effort to redesign the EFSC website,
prioritizing student recruitment to increase enrollment,
retention and revenue. (Student Enrollment, Diversity

• The site is a critical part of the College’s digital infrastructure and
a strategic business asset that operates 24/7.
• The redesign will heighten the EFSC brand and ensure an
experience that makes it easier to use while promoting greater
engagement.
• It will also prioritize search engine improvements to make it faster
and easier for users to find the information they need.
• Importantly, it will include improved ways to measure student
recruitment campaigns and activities, and how those translate
into students enrolling at the College.
• The new site is scheduled to launch in the first quarter 2021.
