May 2019 College Accomplishments Stellar Athletic Season EFSC had another highly successful athletic season as five of the 11 teams reached NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournaments and all 11 reached the postseason. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Community Awareness) • The men’s basketball team reached the Elite Eight of the national tournament for the third straight season, falling in the quarterfinals. • It also won its second straight Mid-Florida Conference Championship and won its seventh straight conference title. • The men’s golf team gained the national tournament for the 17th straight season, and finished 7th. • All five of the teams making the national tournament finished in the top seven in the nation. • • The women’s soccer team made it to the finals of the national tournament and finished runner-up, the eighth straight year they made the tournament. The men’s tennis team reached the national tournament for the second straight season and tied for fourth place, the highest finish in program history. • The athletic program also had seven players named All- American. • The men’s soccer team also reached the national tournament finals, and finished runner-up in their fourth straight trip to the tournament. • Overall, nine of the 11 programs posted winning records and 95 percent of the sophomore athletes moved on to four-year schools in Fall 2019. 10 2019 College Accomplishments
