Successful College Audits Conference Showcased EFSC
EFSC continued strong fiscal management of college
resources through successful audits of two major
Director Support Organizations and WEFS-TV with
no problems found. (Fiscal Management, Trustee
Relations) The college’s new programs and facilities were
showcased when the Melbourne campus hosted a
conference with higher education leaders from the
Association of Florida Colleges Central Florida Region.
(Employee Relations, Public Relations, Community
Awareness)
Audit Highlights:
• EFSC Foundation audit showed no deficiencies in
internal control over financial reporting and no
instances of noncompliance.
• King Center for the Performing Arts audit showed
no deficiencies in internal control over financial
reporting and no instances of noncompliance.
• WEFS-TV showed no deficiencies in internal
control over financial reporting and no instances
of noncompliance.
Conference Highlights:
• Members from the Association of Florida Colleges
Central Florida Region met to discuss better ways
to help students and improve their colleges.
• Participants included Eastern Florida, Daytona
State College, Valencia College, Seminole State
College, Lake Sumter State College, College of
Central Florida and other representatives from
around the state.
• Members attending the conference toured the
college’s new Health Sciences Institute and
attended a series of workshops.
• Eastern Florida’s AFC membership has grown
nearly 20 percent the past year as more
employees take advantage of the opportunities
the association offers, thereby improving their
professional development.
