Dear Trustees:
The mission of Eastern Florida State College is to serve our
community by offering students excellent academic programs
that can lead to great career opportunities, and in doing so provide
area business and industry with the highly skilled workforce they
need in today’s global economy.
The 2017 College Accomplishments contained in this report detail how we are
meeting that goal through the outstanding work of our faculty and staff who treat
each student as a unique individual and do everything possible to help them succeed.
The college’s achievements the past year have been many, including a Gold
Performance Rating from the Florida Board of Education, record numbers of students
in our Bachelor’s Degree and online programs, not raising tuition for a sixth straight
year, undertaking new building projects, and advancing initiatives to enroll and retain
more students from the diverse communities that live in Brevard County.
The efforts have made us among the top institutions of higher education in Florida,
recognized for our innovation and leadership and supported in our work by the
residents of the Space Coast.
