• Received strong grades from the Florida Department of Education’s annual Equity Report, which found
the college increasing its minority student enrollment and “commended for the methods and strategies”

• Created Student Message Center to directly provide students with information on registration, financial
aid and other key areas to help improve retention. (Student Enrollment)
• Expanded the Military and Veterans Service Center’s community outreach with participation in the
“Wounded Warrior Operation Surf” project that had members aiding severely disabled Iraq and
Afghanistan war vets by using surfing to help heal their physical and emotional wounds. (Public

• Three EFSC students selected to the prestigious 2015 All-Florida Academic Team for their outstanding
scholarship and work in the community in a mark of college’s academic standing in the 28-member

• Men’s basketball team won its third straight conference title and advanced to the NJCAA National Men’s
Championship Basketball Tournament. (Student Enrollment, Public Awareness)

• Began first phase development of the new Fire Sciences Academy on the Palm Bay campus that will
eventually include a rescue tower, burn tower, classrooms and other facilities to train firefighters and
utilize land to grow the campus and its programs. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives, Employee

• Began new “Where Titans Rise” marketing campaign across all media platforms – TV, digital, social
media, print, radio – for student recruitment and retention with focus on new Bachelor and Associate

• Completion of new Titan Tennis Center and upgraded Bruce Bochy Baseball Field on Melbourne campus
in the next step in expanding athletic facilities for college teams and community sporting events. (Student

• Public Safety Institute’s EMT and Para-Medic programs received perfect audit from Florida Division of
EMS, with auditors saying they were impressed with all aspects of the programs. (Student Enrollment,

• Hosted “LEAD Brevard Access 2015” event on the Melbourne campus that brought 20 students together
with top local government and business leaders to help develop the next generation of Space Coast

• College chosen to host the 2016 NJCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship at the Duran Golf Club in
Viera in more evidence of the college’s growing role on the NJCAA national stage. (Student Enrollment,
