Friday, September 27th, EF Academy
organised and carried out a coffee
morning to fund money for Macmillan.
Eager IB and A-level students had baked
and bought cakes before selling them to
over 250 students, host parents, teachers
and neighbours that had taken their time
to come and show their support at the
event. A coveted EF Bear had also taken
his time to come to the event, and people
could guess his name. The student with
the right answer was IGCSE student
Tommy Tang, which guessed correctly
that the bears name was David.
The school club Young Enterprises also

wanted to contribute with something
for the event and counted impressive
766 coffee beans in a jar so that people
attending could guess how many there
were and win the coveted EF Bear David.
The one with the closest guess was Maths
teacher Hana. Maybe that’s why she’s a
maths teacher!
In the end the morning was very successful
and everyone who attended helped raise
£172.49 to Macmillan Cancer Support,
which compared to last years £111.06 is
a huge and impressive increase.
