International Projects
As mentioned Open Day is highly dedicated to
our partners during Congress; furthermore it
is meant to unite LCs in one expressive image
of differences and similarities combined with a
powerful atmosphere suited for our future as
professionals. As soon as the speeches were
done you could feel the synergy between the
students and company representatives. By
now we are all aware of our value as EESTECers and after the first fundraising experience
you can see the confidence and the close
relations that our members can establish. A
sunny day and a good lunch on the top floor
of the building in the vicinity, you take a deep
breath, enjoy the view and get ready for the
opportunities you might encounter in the second half of the day.
With a visit also from an ESTIEM International
Board member, we could have constructive
conversations on partnerships, similarities
and differences in company contacts and
encourage local cooperation also. Indeed
with the feedback of students and companies
Open Day 2013 has surely been a successful
day.
Did I forget to mention that all breakfasts were
prepared by the organizers, which some days
would wake up before 5am to get everything
ready? And to be spoiled, one day we started
the day with a sweet breakfast, to be precise,
with a chocolate fountain and fruits.
Not to rush in the GMs, the next day we had
only half a day of work and the rest was free
time. This part of GM was dedicated to the
report of activities of the International Board
and Bodies, and it was continued on Saturday
as well. For the free time you could visit the
city, the Spring Festival or other attractions
in Munich and a guide was provided for each
group that needed one. Later in the day some
groups met in the English Gardens, enjoyed
the weather, saw or joined the surfers, played
some icebreaking games and relaxed.
The second GM is about the smallest members of our network, the Observers & JLCs,
but also about the importance of following
the few rules that keep the EESTEC network
strong and safe for all its members
