8 Closers Course This 8 hour course is approved by the Minnesota Department of Commerce for Closers License prelicense education. In this 8 hour class, students will learn how to close a sale, the components of a deed, elements of mortgages and more. Upon completion of the class, students will a Certificate of Completion which allows them to apply for a Closers License with the State of Minnesota! Instructor Janet Vanderbilt has been closing real estate sales for decades. Her energetic style, enthusiasm and fun method of educational delivery makes this class informative and entertaining Title closers collect all documents having to do with properties requiring titles. They make sure that the title is clear and good for the buyer and that the lender is the first lien holder on the property. Title closers will have a myriad of papers for buyers to sign. The closers need to be knowledgeable about all of them in order to answer questions buyers might have. Closers must also know the procedures of a title search and common problems that might arise during it. In addition, they must know about all of the different charges the title company collects at a closing. Program Coursework Other topics that might be covered in title closing courses, particularly those with numerous sessions, include the following: •Roles of participants in a real estate sale •Notarizing documents •Managing taxes, escrows •Title insurance policies •Potential closing problems •Releasing taxes, liens and mortgages Students should bring (we have extra calculators if you forget to bring one) a hand calculator Dress casually MN Realty School is approved by the MN Department of Commerce to offer prelicense and continuing education for real estate.
