7 Brokers Course This 30 hour course will allow a licensee to meet a one of a two different requirements: 1. Prelicense for your brokers license 2. Continuing education for your sales license This 30 hour course covers the basics of real estate principles, Fair Labor Standards Act, broker responsibilities and liabilities. Learn how to protect yourself and your clients as a real estate broker. Today’s marketplace requires a higher than average understanding of laws and rules and this course will inform a student of the duties a broker has when supervising others. The responsibility for supervision doesn't just begin and end at a meeting room table. There are many concerns that need to be addressed. Topics include: ? Independent contractors and employees ? Fair Labor Standards Act ? Agency ? Fair Housing ? Opportunity and liability ? Basic principles of real estate If you plan on attending education for the purpose of getting your broker license, be advised that you must apply for your broker license within 1 year of taking the class. When you pass a broker exam (through PSI), your test results remain valid AS LONG AS YOU MAINTAIN an active sales license. If one year transpires since class and you haven't applied, law requires you to re-take the class work but not the test MN Realty School is approved by the MN Department of Commerce to offer prelicense and continuing education for real estate.
