Dirty Deal is a Maryland/ PA-based hard rock band that formed in the 80's and is still active today.

Originally starting out as The Shift; personnel and management changes led to a recording contract. Record producer, Kim Fowley ( of the Runaways fame ) suggested the band change its name and Dirty Deal was born from the ashes of The Shift.

The Kim Fowley produced debut was pulled from shelves when a struggling Erika Records (distributed by Capitol Records) filed bankruptcy. After the demise of the record label, the band experienced lineup changes under the guidance of vocalist Terry Miller. Continuing into the 90's with the lineup which is now Dirty Deal, the band enjoyed three additional releases. The album "In Wonderland" was released On Sanity Check Records in 1993 followed by a tour that included shows with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, LA Guns, and Jackyl , among others. 1995 saw the release of the album "Touched" on the group's own High Strung Records.

The ensuing tour saw dates with Warrant, Blue Oyster Cult, Quiet Riot, and the Ramones. The group headlined small club venues and filmed the HCC theater show that same year. The show is currently available on You Tube. 1999 saw the release of the bands last studio album of the millennium "Crunchy Pop Nuggets" on the High Strung label.
