There is no limit to how many entries a nominator can create in each award category , and they can continue to make changes to entries until the region dead-
line . All nomination forms will continue to be aligned with the state bylaws for each award , with only the appropriate fields and instructions appearing for that award category .
This will only apply to the state Awards Program , encompassing the awards already listed , not any individual awards each region has created . It will also not apply to the Every Student Succeeding awards program .

Leadership magazine seeks articles for health and wellness issue
ACSA leaders in schools and districts with formal or informal health and wellness initiatives are encouraged to write for the January / February issue of Leadership magazine .
Topics sought for the health and wellness theme include fostering a culture of health for all staff ; work and life balance ; weight loss or control methods ; teamwork for healthier habits on the job ; stress reduction strategies ; prioritizing self ; gratitude , success and happiness correlation ; employee satisfaction ; positive role-modeling of healthy behavior ; and resilience and grit . The deadline for submission is Oct . 9 . Leadership is ACSA ’ s “ best practices ” periodical published five times a year . Each issue has a particular theme . The success of the magazine depends on authors like you who are willing to share their expertise .
Priority is given to ACSA members , especially those who have not been published before .
“ We are looking for manuscripts that provide practical information for school administrators ,” said Editor London Roberts . “ Articles should be written in an informal , conversational style . Our goal is to provide information that is relevant , readable and timely for a broad range of school administrators .”
Articles should be 1,200 to 2,500 words , including references and any other material . Please be sure to include your address , phone number and job title with your article . Do not use footnotes .

WASC webinar looks at relationship to LCAP
ACSA Senior Director Edgar Zazueta will be part of a webinar that will share promising practices to increase understanding of how the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation process supports school and district alignment of the Single Plan for Student Achievement and LCAPs , as well as evaluation of implementation progress . Joining Zazueta in facilitating this webinar will be Marilyn George , vice president , ACS WASC ; Nancy Brownell , director , ACS WASC ; and Thomas Adams , deputy superintendent , CDE .
