people to walk all over you? “Get rid of the stress and strain of what others are trying
to throw on you,” said EMME. “Forgive them quickly, this is your concert. You choose
the players. Get physical, eat nutritiously, and indulge in moderation.”
What’s ahead for EMME? In addition to promoting the #BodyBeaUtiful social
movement/mini documentary and the Fashion Without Limits program, she is working
on video projects involving exercise. “No more guilt. We need to just start moving,” she
said. “Fitness is different from one body to the next.”
In addition, she continues to build infrastructure within the full-figured industry,
network with businesses, and is a sought after guest speaker and lecturer. “I want to
keep this conversation going.”
EMME is not a big fan of New Year’s Resolutions, especially the good ole' value prop by
changing one's body.“Where you are at this moment is magnificent in itself,” she said.
"To place undue pressure on ourselves to lose weight or transform our body to become
a more well-liked or a popular person - I don’t agree with that at all. We are already all
of that and more. “I would much rather someone get honest and ask themselves, How
do I feel? Do I have energy or am I tired all the time? Then take one actionable step at a
time to create a positive and long lasting change. Eventually, by consistently showing
up for yourself, you'll shift your answers to these questions right into the affirmative.”
Health, happiness, and body joy are all in our right and it can happen anytime - on
January 1, March 15, or September 30.”
