My journey of Saving the Environment
I am an eight year old enthusiastic kind of a girl who likes trying new things. Last year I was crowned as the Environment Ambassador of the Primary wing of my school, the Delhi Private School, Dubai. Since then, I have started a series of endaevours to do well to our lovely environment.
I have been a proud member of Emirates Environment Club( EEG). Last year, I participated in the Neighbourhood Recycling Project, as a part of which, I collected 645 kgs of newspapers and 20 old mobiles for recycling. As a reward for the same, I got to plant two trees in Zayed Scout Camp in Abu Dhabi, which was such an enriching experience. Trees are embodiments of life and it was so heartening to plant one by myself!
Last year, I undertook the clean-up drive of my neighbourhood as well as my school, wherein I roped in the help of my friends and classmates to clean a section of Golden Sands Area in Bur Dubai and my school respectively. We collected large amount of plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles, cigarette studs, bottle caps, lighters, metal pieces, cigarette
Eco- Youth( Sfe.) packets, etc. and gave the collection to EEG for recycling.
