THE INFRASTRUCTURE IMPLEMENTED IN
THE 100+ COMPANIES:
tarting November 2013, the
ECOLLECT service for separate collection of waste from office areas
has proved to be a real success not only
to manufacturing companies and importers of packaged products which are
members of the Eco-Rom Ambalaje system, but also to companies working in
other fields, such as electricity, industrial
gas, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, IT soware and mobile applications,
advertising, complete home appliance
systems, consumable goods distribution,
event organizing, law firms, etc.
Most companies using the Ecollect service
are active in the Bucharest-Ilfov area,
while 18 companies work from 13 other
cities across the country.
ﬔe full list of companies that have implemented the Ecollect system can be
viewed here: http://www.ecollect.ro/
?q=lista-membrilor.
In the Bucharest-Ilfov area, besides the infrastructure distributed by
Eco-Rom Ambalaje and made of recycled
packaging waste by Ecopack Ghimbav and
Munplast Bucharest, the service also ensures free collection of generated waste.
ﬔus, project partner Antalis has allocated
these resources to collection and transport operations: 12 vehicles, 9 of which
are 1.5 tons, 2 sorters, 1 baler operator
1,516 containers and 2,559 bags to
collect paper/cardboard
>> 1,194 containers and 1,793 bags for
plastic and metal.
Companies across the country only resorted to the Ecollect service for the implementation of the separate collection
infrastructure.
A total of 348 containers and 698 bags
were distributed for the separate collection of paper/cardboard, along with 242
containers and 658 bags for the separate
collection of plastic and metal.
Since the Ecollect service was launched,
there has been a spectacular increase in
employees’ awareness of the separate
collection activity and how important recycling is for protecting the environment.
>>
THE FUNDAMENTAL TARGETS OF THE
ECOLLECT SERVICE ARE:
>>
>>
Raising awareness and helping employees understand the importance
and benefits of separate collection
Prevention of waste generation. Based
on data constantly supplied by
Ecollect, companies can lower the
quantities of waste generated at the
office (and especially paper waste).
Eco-Rom Ambalaje will continue to promote and expand this service and will look
for technical and logistical solutions to
centralize all nationwide data. Companies
that work from other cities than Bucharest
and Ilfov and wishing to access the service
can order the ECOLLECT infrastructure for
free. For the collection service, these companies can get in touch with a local collector that can guarantee that the waste will
be passed on to an end recycling operator.

MANY THANKS TO ALL COMPANIES THAT
WERE ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THE SERVICE
IMPLEMENTATION AND THE ORGANIZATION
OF EMPLOYEE EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
“Romania is still at the beginning of its
journey of separate waste collection. To
meet our company’s environmental targets, it was quite a challenge to find a recycling partner that would offer
integrated services for separate collection, transport and recycling of waste.
Finding the ECOLLECT system for the
separate collection of paper/cardboard
and plastic/metal from the office was
quite an opportunity. Through originality
and innovation, the ECOLLECT service
helps us sort the generated waste, transport it and recycle it. The promotional
materials, logistics and communication
interface are unusual and logical, and
perfectly adaptable to current and future
needs.”
