ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES
Renewable energy means that the wastes generated while generating energy do not cause any harm to ecology. Until now, as the resources used in energy production have harmful consequences in terms of human health and environmental sensitivity, they are searched for energy resources that can renew themselves when they are released to the environment as waste that does not harm human beings and nature. Because of the ongoing use of environmentally harmful resources in energy production, other sources that were considered and sought to replace these sources were called alternative energy sources.
There are two groups of energy resources on the Earth, renewable and non renewable. And these resources are extremely important resources for the survival of the living beings. So why should we use renewable energy sources? Non-renewable resources can not be renewed as the name implies on the earth, and once they are used, they will eventually become exhausted and these resources will disappear. That is why we have to use alternative energy sources.
In this regard, studies have been carried out in Konya. Turkey’ s largest solar energy plant was opened in Konya. The whole of the electricity production in Edirne, Turkey’ s gateway to Europe, is made with renewable energy sources. Electricity will be generated from the wave energy in Zonguldak. Manisa province has hydraulic, geothermal and wind potentials from renewable energy sources. Alternative energy sources have a very important place in our lives.

Smart Flower is a smart solar panel that tracks the sun ' s rays, making it 40 % more efficient than traditional ones.
Every morning, the flower opens alone when the sun rises and calculates the optimal angle to the sun, making it 40 % more efficient in capturing the rays than fixed solar panels. Fully open, vertically, measures five meters.
During the day, as the sun watches, it cools and cleans itself. The 12 photovoltaic panels, which represent the petals of the flower, are ventilated from the back, keeping them even at a
