eclec GOSPEL SPOTLIGHT by VonRay RAAR BOYZ Normally when you hear the terms “Lyricist” or “Rap Artist” you automatically think of hip-hop, but we met a rare breed of lyrical beings by the name of “RAAR”, which is a group of young men that rap about the gospel of Christ and testify through music in order to captivate the attention of the youth. Their mission is to draw souls unto God through trendy word play and delivery. So, if you are a believer of God and you listen to rap, you will gain 2-for-1 with these talented young men. They are truly anointed and blessed. VonRay: What is the meaning of your group name RAAR? RAAR: R.A.A.R (pronounced rare) Radical Anointed Appointed Redeemed VonRay: You have such a unique sound and great presence, where are you from? RAAR: We are Miami, Florida. VonRay: What kind of music do you create? RAAR: Gospel Rap and Hip-Hop. We want to show the youth, that are in church, that they can become confident in being a Christian, and we also want to show the youth that are not Christian, that they can be saved and still have fun. need positive guidance and bring them into the family of Christ. VonRay: What is your ultimate goal for RAAR? RAAR: Our ultimate goal is to encourage the Christian youth to not be ashamed to say you go to church and that you are saved; also to reach those that VonRay: What is church Girl/Boy Swag? What is the movement about? RAAR: The movement is an act to not allow the world to influence us negatively but for us to be ourselves in Christ. VonRay: Whom would you like to work with? RAAR: In the future, sooner than later, we would love to work with many artists like Lecrae, Mali Music, Canton Jones, Da Truth, and so many more.
