JOSHUA
BODY
by VonRay
WOODS
Massage therapists are not overlooked,
because we need their assistance in
maintaining health and our bodies. We
spoke with a young and fashionable
Licensed Massage Therapist by the name of
Joshua Woods. We love to highlight those
that make a difference.
Joshua has passion in everything that he
does, especially his current career in massage therapy. When it comes to the body,
Joshua can teach us a thing or two…

VonRay: Hey Joshua, tell
us a little about you?
Joshua: I was raised in
Junction City, Kansas,
but currently reside in
Washington, D.C. I have a
younger sister, an elevenyear-old daughter and
a three-year-old niece.
During my years in the
military I was stationed
in Japan, Sri Lanka, the
Philippines, South Korea,
and Afghanistan. I’m into
fitness and health lifestyle.
VonRay: So, you are very
well rounded and openminded…what brought
about your career in
becoming a Licensed
Massage Therapist?
Joshua: Massage Therapy
came about because I was
undecided on what career
I truly wanted to pursue
after servings 9 years in
the US Marines. I just knew
I wanted to do something
different and learn
something new.
VonRay: Tell us some
important facts about the
advantage of Massage
Therapy?
Joshua: Sometimes people
see massage therapy as a
luxury, when it is actually
an investment in your
health. Massage therapy
can help in so many ways
to name a few of the most
common conditions:
Reduce stress and fatigue.
Relieve pain. Lessen
depression and anxiety.
Improves mental focus,
increase blood flow, and
gives you more energy.
VonRay: What is your
future plans in therapy?
Joshua: I’m currently
seeking a degree in Sports

receiving my bachelors,
I will be applying to grad

team at the collegiate or
professional level.
