Wear your Spirit Shirts fridays! School Spirit is a defining aspect of our school culture and you’ll see that from our love for our furry friendly mascot, Oscar the Ocelot, to wearing our Spirit Shirts on Fridays. We take every opportunity to display our pride and unity for our school. Here at Kids R Kids West Houston, our Ocelittles and Ocelots take pride in learning and are adventurous in playing! SPOTLIGHT FOR OUR PRESCHOOLERS This month’s STEM projects will allow your young scientist to construct and test their hypothesis to draw a conclusion. Here are some vocabulary highlights: Our vocabulary includes REFLECTION FORCE REACTION TENSION PREDICTION Literacy Corner by Emely Mendoza Lead Educator for Preschool Classroom 400 Our classroom enjoys reading The Three Little Super Pigs by Claire Evans. This super-silly book has become a classroom favorite because the familiar story retold in a new enthusiastic way. Our three year olds enjoy being curious about the story they know well, being changed up and they can predict what’s to come as they make connections from the other versions, shares Ms. Emely. The children enjoy the surprises of watching where and when will the big, bad wolf pop out! Here are some dictations with some of our preschoolers who are making connections with comprehension as they illustrate what they enjoyed in the book. SPLASH Days TO BEGIN JUNE 8 You will need to send your child to school dressed in swimwear and closed toe water shoes, with towel and change of clothes. Label all parts please.
