ATTACK
• Low approach with head and hands close
to the ball
• Direct line to the ball and pick up as early as
possible
CATCH
• Athletic posture – eyes stay level
• Head in line and as close to ball as possible
• Present a large catching area
• Hands hold the height and line of the ball
DEFEND
• Dive low and along the ground
• Two hands clean on the ball where possible
• Landing is simultaneous with the ground,
flat dive or roll
THROW – INNER RING
• Take the ball early on pick up
• Long base and side-on with both feet in line
with target where possible
• Keep both feet in contact with ground until
the ball is released
• 90° throwing arm pit angle
• Release ball out in front of body
• Throwing arm finishes long towards target
