It ’ s been a most successful year for the MGA so far . Our latest tournament , the 4-3-2 Best Ball , was a new format that was well received . A total purse of $ 1880.00 was distributed and $ 50.00 awarded for closest to the pin . Congratulations to our ( team ) winners , First Place Tie – Dave Conway , Reggie Alford , Mike Hutchens , Robert Kormos , John Siddle , Dillon Godfrey , Larry Anderson , Tom Jacoby . Closest to the pin recipients , Steve Beck , Dan Keihl , Smith Patterson , Scott Peterich .
Our primary goal this year has been to not only grow the MGA but bring renewed excitement for our members . On July 13th we unveiled the MGA CUP . This new “ Premier ” annual event will take place of the traditional “ Blow Out ”. Please be sure to stop by the club house to see the trophy currently on display . The winning team will have their names placed on the trophy and their photo hung in the clubhouse entry . This event is currently tracking to bring over an $ 11,000.00 purse . Every dollar our members put into the MGA , especially with our 50 / 50 drawing , we return to our members .
Our next tournament will be September 14th , a Same Tee Box Flight Tournament .
