LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
We have started Summer greens aerification process using the smaller ¼” tines. We will continue this
process throughout the Summer months. We will do these aerifications often due to the smaller size of
the holes with less of an impact to our golfers. In addition to the greens, we will be doing a very similar
aerification on the tee-boxes.
In early June, we will also be doing a heavy Top-dress to the Driving Range tee complex. We will
continue to do this periodically throughout the Summer Months.
In early May, we replaced one of the Pump Motors. Shortly after the motor was replaced, the actual
Pump went bad. For majority of the month of May, we have been irrigating the Common Grounds
throughout the Community along with the Golf Course on one pump. We anticipate the new pump to
be installed in late May, early June.
We will also continue our Herbicide Program on the greens to help alleviate any weed pressure. Due
to some of the recent issues in the Pump House, we have been a little less aggressive with this program
than we would like to (herbicide with lack of water / one pump is very risky) but anticipate being back
on track once our watering issues are resolved.
Sincerely,
Juan Perez
