too much , he said to walk intermittently as needed . Mostly , he suggested that I have fun and not be competitive . This introduction started a long love affair for me with running . Years later I took a similar approach to my headstand . With a joyful practice , one minute grew into another and next thing I knew a ten minute headstand became a reality .
We can move towards our goals with pleasure if we find the paths that are right for us and we are not impatient for a certain outcome . Who knows ? We might discover something new about ourselves . But we have to take tangible steps consistently and remember that other word … enthusiastically !

Here is a photo of a student Jenni in my Monday evening Yoga Basics class . After exploring “ Warrior II ” as a deeper stretch seated in the chair , we returned to the classical version of the pose standing .
