were just listening to announcements . As time continues and the ENN team continue to work out the details of this recent addition to EHS , these broadcasts will be great way to get information out to staff and students .
These meetings continue to be described as a place to hear the voice of students . Mr . Drezek and Ms . Clark agree that as years continue , they hope to hear more student voice about the experience at Enfield High School .
5 years ago , when these meetings began , many of the issues were about school lunch . Recently students are talking about mental health outlets offered through the school , use of devices in class , dress codes , etc . This is a place where students can share experiences , opinions , concerns , etc . Not every problem will have a solution , but every problem will be addressed , and your voice will be heard .
“ The thing I find most powerful about those meetings is really hearing what the experience is like for kids . When you get into administration you can imagine things are a certain way , but unless you talk to the people in the classrooms you can lose sight of what the experience is ,” said Clark .
