“ Without struggle there is no progress .” Said Chef O , Mentor of the Enfield teams after he was asked how he thought his returning team have improved throughout their journey .
“ I think we ’ re getting to a point where we can compete against Wilbur cross and win . Last year we had a chance , but we had some setbacks ” said Chef O .
The returning team have put so much more effort into Pro-start this second time around . They started planning for Pro-Start as soon as they could at the beginning of the year . They want to win this year and show Wilbur Cross that they are not as strong as they think . Come March 1 st , Enfield will be put to the test to see if they can bring home the trophy .
The Voice of the Students

ENFIELD — Enfield High School has been hosting student and Superintendent meetings since 2018 as a way to give students at EHS a voice .
Mr . Drezek , the superintendent and Ms . Clark , the principal , came up with the idea and proposed it to students in the building . The goal was to hear the students ’ opinions on the recent changes made after combining the two high schools .
These meetings have grown to become a place where a select number of students sit in a conference room with Mr . Drezek and Ms . Clark , sharing their opinions on Enfield High School and what they believe will make this school better .
“ We went from a 7-period schedule to a block schedule , and Eagle Block was new , and so we wanted to hear from students about these new initiatives ,” said Clark .
One outcome of these meetings was Eagle Nest News ( ENN ) as a way to share information with students other than announcements . The concern was that students and staff were missing important information during announcements due to not paying attention in the morning . As a result of this concern , a room was turned into the ENN filming room with hopes that staff and students would pay more attention to a news broadcast .
