The concept of Green Printing is a worldwide recognized concept to ensure reducing, reusing and recycling to lower the number of resources used for printing and advertising. For the past few years WNL ad has recycled 400 tons of paper per annum to save 6800 trees per annum approximately. The waste water treatment plants have recycled around 9,000 m3 of water per annum. A part of this water is used for gardening and for the building cooling system which significantly reduced the energy consumption in air conditioning at the factory and a significant reduction of water usage from the national water supply & drainage board of Sri Lanka. The significant reduction in the energy usage by 288,000kwh per annum during the last few years could provide electricity for 200 domestic homes approximately.
