The project will feature specialty retail, restaurants, community-oriented event space, integrated residential homes and extensive walkable open space plazas and squares. The City has prepared an Initial Study that provides a detailed project description and evaluation of potential environmental effects of the proposed project which is available at City Hall, the Laguna Niguel Library, and online at www.cityoflagunaniguel.org/index.aspx?NID=778 Comments and input regarding the preparation of the EIR are welcomed and must be received between April 8 and close of business on May 9, 2016. The public is invited to attend a special meeting of the City Council on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. at which the Council will review and discuss the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017. The budget forms the basis of the Council’s work program for the upcoming fiscal year. Under the oversight and management by the Finance Department, the City’s budget is the tool by which City Council policies are translated into action. Community and Council priorities will be identified and discussed. Public input is welcomed! This prestigious award was established in 1990 to recognize the citizen or citizens who have demonstrated outstanding voluntary service to our community, making this a better place for all of us to live and work.
