MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
Neighborhood Watch is one of the oldest
and most effective crime prevention programs in
the country, bringing citizens together with law
enforcement to deter crime and make
communities safer.
On Monday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor
Laurie Davies and Laguna Niguel Police Services
will host a Neighborhood Watch Membership
Drive to encourage more residents to become
involved in Neighborhood Watch. Organizers will
talk about the benefits of a Neighborhood Watch
Program and how to start a program in your
neighborhood.
The meeting will take place in the
Community Room at City Hall, 30111 Crown
Valley Parkway.
So grab your neighbor and head on over to
City Hall and learn how you can help make your
neighborhood a safer place.

REGULATE OR NOT TO

With the online arrival of
sites such as Airbnb, VRBO and
HomeAway, communities across
the nation have seen a surge in
short term rentals popping up in
their neighborhoods. Concerns
about the potential adverse
impact these facilities may have on residential
communities, have prompted City officials to
address the issue.
On April 26, at 7:00 p.m., the Laguna
Niguel Planning Commission will take up the
matter at its regular meeting, and is seeking the
public’s input on whether or not the City should
regulate or prohibit short term rentals in
residential communities.
The meeting will take place in Council
Chambers located at 30111 Crown Valley
Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677. All
interested parties are encouraged to attend.

PROJECT UPDATE
On April 25, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., the City
will host a public scoping meeting regarding the
proposed Agora Arts District Downtown Project.
At that time, staff will present an overview of the
Environmental Impact Report (EIR) process and
