Sicily is the largest island of Italy and the Mediterranean. It is bordered to the north by the Tyrrhenian Sea, south of the Sea of Sicily, on the east by the Ionian Sea and north-east by the Strait of Messina separates it from Calabria.
It was called Magna Grecia and for this you can find numerous remains of temples and Greek sculptures. The island is also home to an active volcano: Mount Etna.
