However, it can be a challenge selecting the right combination of methodologies and content to engage the audience, facilitate long-term change, with minimal impact on operations - and all within budget. It becomes more complex when considering the vast number of learning technologies available and popular concepts like 70:20:10, ‘Just for Me’ and social learning. So as part of our commitment to help customers implement the best development solutions, we surveyed 2,980 learners to find out which methodologies they engage with most. We had expected an increase in engagement with new learning technologies as popularity for these has grown amongst training departments. However less than 30% of learners chose eLearning as one of their top three methodologies, with Webinars and Gaming following with 25% and 24% respectively. Download the full survey report. There was in fact a clear preference for on-thejob (68%), coaching (46%) and classroom training (44%). From these results it became clear that what learners want most is personalised, face-to-face training. When we considered learners’ needs and the challenges faced by many HR and training departments, it becomes apparent that there is a gap for a face-to-face training approach that is low cost, flexible and scalable. This is how e-Less Learning was conceived. © Right Track Consultancy Limited. Page 2
