Proteins
Every cell in the human body has a protein.
They are also found in every fluid, but bile and
urine. Protein cells help your body repair and
create new cells. It is also important to have
enough protein during your childhood and
adolescence, since they also provide you
growth. When women are pregnant, they need
to have lots of protein, because it will help the
baby to be health and to have its proper growth.
Proteins are found mostly in meat, fish and
chicken.
Vitamin
Vitamins are molecules that your body needs to
carry out certain reactions. Some vitamins can be
stored and some need to be re-supplied
frequently. There are many types of vitamin that
each one helps on something inside your body.
Vitamins does benefits you a lot for your body
needs, because some vitamins such as vitamin A
regulate the cell growth and division, Vitamin E
protects cell membrane, etc. There are many food
that have vitamin such as milk, eggs, avocado,
red meat, etc. Adolescents are in great time of
transformation, so they need the sufficient
amount of vitamin to keep their body health, it
recommendable to eat foods that have vitamins
daily.
Minerals
4% of body mass consist on mineral. There are 2
types of mineral, trace minerals and mayor
minerals. Body requires less 100 mg/day of trace
minerals (copper, zinc, fluorine, etc.) , and require
more than 100 mg/day of mayor minerals
(calcium, potassium, chlorine). The help to
regulate cellular metabolism, maintain normal
heart rhythm, and provide in forming bones. Milk,
cheese, yogurt and more food have minerals,
woman and mens should consume the same
amount of calcium 700 mg per day. Depends
which mineral is the number of mg you can
consume per day.
Water
Water is very important for life because it helps
the world to survive. Your body is composed
about 60% of water. This benefits you a lot, it
helps you to lose your weight, have energy and
heart healthy, fix digestive problems and less
cancer risk. Fruits and vegetable are the main
sources that water is found. Adolescents need to
drink a least 10 cups of water daily and womens
9 cups of water.
During this research we learned that the
different types of nutrients are essential for
making our bodywork. It is really interesting how
each type of nutrient has a different function for
the body. There are also other type of nutrients
that help our body and give it some “fuel” for it to
last the whole day, such as vitamins. There is
also another fluid that is crucial for the body,
water. Our body is composed of 80% of water,
so we need to drink water in order to keep our
body working and to stay hydrated. We learned
many things that were really interesting and
some other things that are very important for our
body.
