Diseases during
the French
Revolution
I think that this activity let us
know that the French war didn't get a
good results, not only in the way of
ruling and thinking of the nation, the
health of the country was, in this case,
affected too. Many people forgot from
the sanitary part for helping their health and at the end they got many
different diseases such as, Tuberculosis, which is one of the most
important. Now a days this disease is said to be one of the deadliest
diseases around the world, even with all the technology that we have
today, so in that time there was no hope at all to come back from that
disease. Tuberculosis affects mainly the lungs, but it can also affect other
vital organs. What the bacteria causes (tuberculosis starts when the
bacteria enters your immune system) is to create diseases such as
pneumonia. The problem with it is that the lungs become infected and
they enlarge. This 2 combinations were mortal at that time. Tuberculosis
changed the lives of people, many of the population died, because there
were no medicines to help them.
Another terrible diseases that affected the French Revolution was
smallpox. This diseases is caused by two virus: variola major and variola
minor. This diseases can be life threatening. Smallpox is a contagious
infection that affected the French Revolution. During this time there were
no medicines to cure the infections. Originally you get the disease by
breathing or touching the smallpox virus. Even though not all the people
