It is estimated that about 10% of the UK population has dysleixa. It is therefore likey that companies will employ dyslexic people at some stage.Throughtout life most dyslexic people will have already developed their own coping strategies to enable them to cope with difficulties they may face.

Executive Summary

About 10% of the UK population has dyslexia. It is likely that organisations will employ a dyslexic person at some point. The vast majority of dyslexics have well developed coping strategies which enable them to cope easier with difficulties caused with dyslexia. However, what happens when they can’t cope.

This report is designed to give a better understand of the dyslexic brain and give employers some ideas what they can do to help their dyslexic employees achieve their potential, what their legal obligations are what they can do to get the best out of their dyslexic workers.
