• Vijaya Mallya is just not the poster boy, in-
deed he is a strong believer in god and prays

Lalit Modi: the man behind IPL.
• Rajasthan Cricket Association led by Lalit
Modi redesigned a cricket stadium in Jaipur in
the year 2005. Thereafter, the first ODI match,
India vs Sri Lanka, is considered as the single
most profitable cricket match in the history
of India.
• The deal Between ESPN to buy global telecast
rights for cricket matches in India was ad-
vised by our own Lalit Modi at mid 90’s time.
• He is not just concerned for himself but be-
ing true to his making nature, he is amongst
the twenty-five odd patrons of the “Elephant
Family” trust devoted towards protecting
Asian Elephants.
• With the beginning of cable revolution in In-
dia, it was Lalit Modi only who brought enter-
tainment giant Walt Disney’s content in our
country in the year 1993.
• Recognized as the most powerful sports ad-
ministrator in India by Sports Illustrated Pow-
er list, just behind Sachin Tendulkar in 2010
has proved that Sports Industry can’t get
enough of Lalit Modi.
• Lalit Modi has contributed enough to the TV
industry as he was the driving force behind
arrival of fashion TV, an international lifestyle
television channel, in India.

League) was the initiative of Lalit Modi and
the launch of the same became a case study
in Columbia Business school in 2009. These
are the efforts only of Lalit Modi that has
created a never before sporting revolution in
India.
Subrata Roy: Once the SAHARA of Indian
workforce.
• All the success belongs to Subrata Roy’s own
efforts as he has a humble background. He
did not belong to any high profile family and
is not an IIT, IIM graduate but rather a di-
ploma holder from Government engineering
college. But, his hard work and efforts paid
off as he received an honorary doctorate in
business leadership from University of East
London in 2013.
• Subrata Roy started his business career with
just a capital of Rs. 2000 and started his ca-
reer with a mere chit fund collector with his
clients being the daily wage earners depos-
iting their 20 % of income. Once who owned
a two-stroke scooter, now owns London’s
Grosvenor House, New York’s Plaza Hotel, Am-
bey Valley City and Force India, apart from
Sahara India.
• Within a short span of Sahara launch, it be-
came a giant business arena, Indian Business
arena and started running private airlines,
entertainment channels, news channels and
even a news paper group. Also, started with
a real estate group with around 33000 acres
of land under their hold. The biggest achieve-
ment of Sahara group of all, was bagging the
sponsorship od Indian Cricket and Hockey
teams.
• As he describes himself as the chief guardi-
an and which he proved too when happy with
the Indian team’s performance in 2003 world
cup, he provided one flat to all the team mem-
