I started working with Garry in 1978 and worked with Garry on his last day . We worked together for a good part of those years , and it was only earlier this year that Garry made the comment , “ wouldn ’ t it be great to finish our working days together .” It ’ s incredible how some statements can mean so much . There were two interpretations of Garry . One from people that didn ’ t really know him , and the other from people that knew him well ; I can tell you those two interpretations were worlds apart ! Garry gave me - and many others – the first opportunity in the automotive business and showed me the way . Even over the last couple of years I was still learning from Garry , but this time in commercial property . Working closely with Garry over the years , I have seen the friendship , thoughtfulness , care , and generosity that he has shown to so many people . That ’ s the Garry I knew . There are so many memories that I would love to share but this would turn into a book ! I ’ m sure they will be shared in conversations to come . Garry – I will miss our trips , our driving conversations , your emails and text messages , and the coffee and hot chocolate chats that we would have . And most of all , Garry , your company , and friendship . Going to miss you mate . Tony Drago
