Remembering Garry
To My Brother – It was entertaining growing up with you ; someone to lean on , someone to count on , and someone to tell on . You were always there for me ; helped me through some very tough times . You had my back as I had yours . Now there is no second chance to thank you for the things you have done , and things you have said . Your generous heart and giving nature . I will always have a special place in my heart for my big brother . We had a special bond , something we both cherished . The only comforting thought is that you are now with Mum . It ’ s a privilege to be your sister and I am so proud of you . Your Blister . Gail Dumbrell
Gaz – from a very early age you had a strong desire to win . Whether racing billycarts around the streets of Chadstone , to minibikes down the dangerous slopes of the Broadford track , he became a Victorian champion . He was fearless . Garry thought if he did not brake when others did , he would win , and he did many times ! The desire to win and be successful followed Gaz into the corporate world , and later car racing and team ownership , winning Bathurst after just a few years ( some teams had been trying for 40 years !) Garry ’ s true grit came to the fore with health battles in recent years . I do not have the right words to describe Gaz during his treatment , but supreme courage comes close . Always admired your love for your family , and as brothers go , you were the best . Love you dearly , Garry , always will . Keith Dumbrell
