Most of us nowadays
are concerned with
grooming, looking good
and smelling great for
work, not to mention that
crucial first impression. But
just how clean are you really?
Our nutritionist Soliman Laurence
helps you stay clean on the inside out.

How C
o you pay attention to your immediate
environment or the type of soap or deodorant
that you use or the way in which you
commute, what you have for lunch and so on? All
of these factors can add some serious toxins to our
bodies which will have knock on effects. Every day
we are bombarded by an assortment of poisons,
from processed food chemicals, drug residues,
environmental pollutants, alcohol and even the type
of cookware we use, the list goes on.

and other digestive and bowel disorders. Poor
digestion and assimilation of food can lead to a
whole host of health conditions. Normally we start
downing coffee, chocolate and other stimulants to
compensate and give us that illusionary lift until we
lose that natural energy that we should ideally get
from our healthy diets, clean water, fresh air and
sunlight, exercise and rest. But we all know it’s not
that simple. As you can see, a high level of toxins
can affect you mentally, emotionally and physically.
In the media and on TV these days there are issues
being discussed about school dinners, fast foods,
sweets, fizzy drinks and their effects on children,
from disruptive behaviour to attention deficit disorder.
But these problems can affect us all however slightly.
Lack of energy, low libido, headaches, recurring
colds, poor complexion and sluggish bowels are
commonplace, which affect our everyday lives.
Work, relationships, etc. all suffer.
Some toxins are unavoidable, but in small amounts
are well tolerated. However, high toxin levels slowly
poison our systems putting stress on organs and
damaging our tissues. When we become aware and
take more care we can have enhanced immune
strength, better sleep, clearer skin, improved mental
clarity, sexual vigour and recharged vitality.
High stress levels can also contribute to major health
problems including irriritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
I have devised a simple and effective questionnaire
to calculate how toxic you are. Based on a points
system, it will show you just how your current
lifestyle is affecting your health.
