I formed Kamara basically
because we have not enough
icons. We have nothing that
reflects our space or our spirit.
We have nothing that enables us
to realize that you can define
your own vision. I couldn’t see
what was being used to measure
our being here. There is a
politically correct approach to
everything that people are now
buying into because everyone
just wants to get paid. But in
that, there is also something
about your spirit that needs to
be validated, if not for yourself,
then for your children’s sake.
And I was brought up in a
particular way that taught me
you must stand for something
otherwise you will die for
anything. »
