Britain is not gonna give you nothing because you think you deserve it.” There was a time when I was angry, more with myself than at the world. I had allowed myself to be deceived. How could I have let myself be misled? Being self-taught after I did my O Level Photography, from that point on it was just me versus myself. To look back on it now, I don’t know how I didn’t go insane, and lose it. I went through a lot of different phases of photography, working with The Watchman Agency, for example, which we set-up in 1990 to handle accounts likes of Caterpillar, Levis, Jemaique, and Des’Ree. We were the first bunch of black guys to go in the middle of town in Soho to setup a PR and marketing company, and decide that we were going to make a difference.
