At school if I dated somebody I didn’t go around telling everybody.” Whilst a few of us would do a double take of Beyoncé’s choice in potential husbands, anyone listening to the almost tooth-rottingly sweet dedication to her Daddy on her debut offering will know this beauty values strength of character above all other traits in a man. In his own way, Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter has pulled himself up from his drug dealing past to head Def Jam Recordings, a multi-million dollar commercial concern. Tabloid reports claim Knowles senior might not have hand-picked Jigga for his princess but his 23-year old charge is all grown up and ready to branch out on her own. »
