2013 RANDY SLAWSON 2016 ERIK MILLER
Another Last Chance Qualifier, Slawson added his name
to the elite group of Kings. Against all odds, everything came together for Miller
to progress from a 27th starting position to capture a
second crown.
2014 LOREN HEALY
Not in the famed “Red Dragon” yet, Healy proved he was
in it for good—winning in a solid-axle Jimmy’s 4x4 car.
2015 RANDY SLAWSON
In a neck-and-neck finish battling Erik Miller at the end,
Slawson won the day, joining Campbell, Scherer and
Healy as two-time Kings.
2017 SHANNON CAMPBELL
Fighting son Wayland tooth and nail at the end, Shannon
edged him out by just 28 seconds elapsed time after
coming through the finish second to become the first
three-time King.
2018 JASON SCHERER
Hungry for a second title, Scherer fought closely with
Slawson for the last race lap. “I used to think you could
just survive and not have any problems and you’d win
the race, but that’s not the case anymore,” he exclaimed
at the finish.
