The Goals for Driver Education (GDE) identify the need to develop a drivers knowledge and understanding relating to the context and goals for the journey. Against that background it is interesting to consider the goals of a learner driver when under tuition. *Edwards and Curle (2008) indicate that the types of faults seen in driving instructors would be limited by the context in which the driving lessons take place – an educational context.
