ADI, hiya Shaun how are you today, did you bring along the CD I requested from the last lesson.
S, I am fine thanks, yes got the CD.
ADI, ok, as I said at the end of last week we are going to explore what its like driving with distractions today, is that still ok with you?
S, yeah that’s fine bit nervous though.
ADI, what are you nervous about.
S; don’t know really.
ADI: would you like to do something else if you are nervous.
S; no it’s fine.
ADI; ok Shaun when your ready, move off, have a warm up and then we will park up and have a chat.
After a short drive with no faults the learner pulled over and parked.
ADI; How do you feel about that short drive Shaun?
S; yeah ok I think.
ADI; I agree with you, well done. Now for the next 6/7 minutes you are going to drive following a destination that destination is Dimbo A2468(made up name and rd number), whilst following this destination I will not help you and during the drive you will be listening to your favourite track on your CD. Have you any questions before we begin.
S; no
ADI, fine, you will need to turn left at the next junction then follow the information signs. Turn on the cd and find your favourite track, turn it up louder.

S; do I need this lane?
ADI; no answer, (exiting roundabout and joining new road.)
S; S*** what is the speed limit
ADI; no answer
Major traffic lights pupil is waiting at red light.
S; B******s where am I going here, I have I stalled the bloody car.

ADI; ok Shaun find a convenient place on the left and pull over please.
