In the most resent ADINJC dipod (show 60) they have Mark Magee as guest.
@ 66 minutes Instructors signing off manoeuvres was mentioned and quote from Mark Magee;
“EU directive is quite clear that there needs to be a separation between the person doing the training and the person doing the assessing and therefore that would fall foul of that rule as well”
Well DSA, we know you don’t apply this EU directive, as you do both the training and assessing (testing) of B+E.
Green paper Update
In June's edition we told you of the Governments intention of issuing a Green Paper on young drivers.
The original intention was to produce this early summer, this has not happened and we now hear it’s to be produced in the autumn of 2013.
With election due in 2015, there is absolutely no chance of anything in the Green Paper ever coming on to the statute books in the life of this Parliament.
Only time will tell if the new government will continue with any proposals from the Green Paper and other associated consultations.
Remember to reply to the Modernising Driver Training consultation.
Your views are important; the outcome of this consultation will shape the way our profession goes over the next few decades we must get it right.
If we get it wrong then we have only ourselves to blame.
