Their wandering along the psychogeographical path-
ways and drifting through the encounters was intend-
ed to be documented on Instagram at #mappingori-
cas (first, but then due to Instagram›s assumed
algorithmic censorship had to find a couple of new
tags, finally arriving at #mappinggg), and jointly reflect-
ed in situ.
The dérives may have continued spontaneously thro­
ughout the remaining days of the festival, in small
groups or individually, the process had an open end. It
connected, via the #mappingthelocal hashtag to the
other two mentioned workshops and processes hap-
pening in Budapest and Belgrade.
Within the Pixxelpoint.org festival at the Nova Gorica
City Gallery, two Instagram streams were presented on
two LCD screens within the main exhibition . Web
browsers were programmed to show two repeatedly
refreshed web pages, a scrolling-down parallel stream
of each hashtag-URL available then, #mappingthelo-
cal (left) and #mappinggg (right), they were changing
live due to the continuous uploading activity in both
Budapest, and the »Goricas«.
