There are two ways in which intuition can be based : the explicit and the implicit memory . The explicit one makes reference to a conscient memory that makes us able to remember previous experiences . The implicit memory is not intentional , it is an unconscious way of archiving allusions that can arise in concrete moments .
This sensation has a neurological basis , it is not irrational but a memory of recognition . We must point out that within our implicit memory , we are also guided by the created emotions .
Thanks to these emotions , we perform different responses that make us create different directions , creating personal wishpaths .
After some research , we found out that some senses can trigger memory more efficiently than others . The sense of smell is the strongest of all , because the region in the brain that processes odors is closely located to brain regions that handle memory and emotion . The senses of touch and listening are located in more distant parts of the brain . Despite this hierarchy , we verified that not everyone conceives smell as the overriding sense in all contexts , which is visible in our different experiences .
