Cultural Observances Notes
1 . Hats and hoods are not to be worn inside a building . 2 . Piercings are limited to girls ’ ears . Gauges and excessively large hoops or dangling earrings , which are a safety concern , are not permitted . 3 . Visible tattoos are prohibited and must be covered at all times . 4 . Hair may only be dyed a naturally-occurring color and in a naturally-occurring fashion .
Functionality / Safety Notes
Students may wear comfortable and functional footwear ( shoes , sneakers , boots , etc .) that fit the following description : 1 . All shoes must have backs . 2 . Any heel must be less than two inches ; stiletto type heels are not allowed . 3 . When heavy-tread boots are worn , a change of shoes for indoors is required if mud is able to be tracked in from outside .
P . E . Class Clothing
A school-approved P . E . uniform must be worn all day by students in Grades 3-12 on their assigned P . E . days . Students are not permitted to change their clothes for P . E . Parents are able to purchase the P . E . uniform through our online store , which is opened once each summer and fall . The online store is open for a limited number of weeks each time it is opened . The following describes the approved uniform and dress codes for P . E .: � Light blue T-shirt with the official CCS Lion logo ( short or long-sleeved ) � Navy sweatpants or “ windpants ” with official CCS Lion logo � Navy athletic shorts with official CCS Lion logo � When cold , students may wear any regular CCS-permitted sweater / fleece / sweatshirt . � Athletic supportive sneakers are required .
