How do ASOS commuicate to their target audience?

ASOS are an online retailer to which has a target audience range from 16-45 year olds. They reach out to their customers in a variety of ways ensuring they reach to every age in their target audience appropriately. ASOS have very good social media accounts and pages to which allows young people to follow and keep up to date on their latest clothing, new clothing lines and discounts/sales. Adding to this they have a magazine to which people can order, included in the magazine are the latest trends and how to achieve these looks by purchasing from ASOS. This is extremely useful for people age range between 20-45 as it can be posted through the door and can be taken anywhere, for example: people can take it on the train to work that may not have the time to read it at home.

Not only this, ASOS have a range of Instagram accounts such as: @asos, @asos_girls, @asos_white , @asos_menswear, @asos_grooming and @asosstudio. This allows customers to narrow down to the type of clothing they are looking for which will save them time. Therefore by doing this ASOS are ensuring they meet the needs of their customers.

This year ASOS launched a ‘New In’ app in the UK and Denmark, an Apple Watch app and a new mobile news website, ‘ASOS Likes’, which provides customers with daily inspiration, pop culture and lifestyle news. In addition, they ran their first ever mobile-only promotions with encouraging customer take-up.

Adding to this, ASOS have a stylist chat to whereby customers can contact a stylist at ASOS for help via the web. The service opperates Monday to Friday 9am to 8pm. By ASOS having this it highlights that they go that extra bit further to make sure their customers are constantly recieving a good service.
