ENVIRONMENTALLY PREFERABLE MATERIALS FOR INTERIOR FINISH
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION
Up to 11 points may be awarded for the use of materials that meet one of the attributes defined earlier in this section, as follows:
K3.1. Cabinets( Up to 2 Points)
To receive credit, a percentage of the square footage of all cabinet materials must meet one defined attribute, as follows:

50 %— One point 80 %— Two points
This measure include materials used in the box, face, frame, toe kick, shelves, and door; it does not include countertop or countertop substrate.
This measure evaluates cabinets of the type found in kitchens and bathrooms. This differs from the shelving discussed in measure K3.3, which evaluates open shelving typically seen in a closet, hall, utility room, or study. Such shelving is typically encased in an open cabinet box or seated on a ledger board. Shelves found in kitchens and bathrooms are included in this measure.
K3.2. Interior Trim( Up to 2 Points)
To receive credit, a percentage of the total square foot area or linear length of the trim / casing must meet one defined attribute, as follows:

This measure includes all types of installed casing and trim for floors, doors, walls, ceilings, windows, wainscot, fireplaces, non-structural beams, etc.
K3.3. Shelving( Up to 2 Points)
To receive credit, a percentage of the total square foot area or linear length of the shelving, support structure, and encasement must meet one defined attribute, as follows:
