DURABLE AND NON-COMBUSTIBLE CLADDING MATERIALS
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION

One point of credit is available if the product uses durable and non-combustible siding products, such as metal, stone, brick, traditional three-coat cementitious stucco, or fiber-cement. Non-combustible products must meet National Fire Protection Association( NFPA) 220.

VERIFICATION Field Verification: The Rater must confirm the material in the field and take representative photos.
Documentation: The Rater must collect durability and non-combustibility documentation from the builder for any materials other than metal, stone, brick, traditional three-coat cementitious stucco, and fibercement. A building plan detailing siding material specifications is optional.
INTENT
To promote durability and reduce material consumption with long-lasting products, and to increase safety through the use of noncombustible materials.
DURABLE ROOFING MATERIALS
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION One point of credit is available, as follows: E5.1. Durable and Fire Resistant Roofing Materials or Assembly( 1 Point)
Slope roofs and assemblies( that is, roofs with a slope of 2:12 or steeper) must have all of the following attributes:
� A minimum of a 40-year warranty and a 3-year workmanship warranty. � An assembly carrying a“ Class A” fire rating, per American Society of Testing and Materials
( ASTM) E-108 or UL-790.
Flat roofs and assemblies( that is, roofs with a slope less than 2:12) must have all of the following attributes:
� A Class A fire rating, per ASTM E-108 or UL-790. � A minimum of a 10-year material warranty and a 3-year workmanship warranty.
E5.2. Roofing Warranty for Shingle Roofing( Required) Note: This measure applies only to multifamily homes.
All shingle roofing must carry a 3-year subcontractor warranty and at least a 20-year manufacturer’ s warranty.
