RESIDENTS ARE OFFERED FREE OR DISCOUNTED TRANSIT PASSES
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION One point of credit are available for providing heavily discounted (50% or greater) or free transit passes to all residents for a minimum of one year’s time for transit options that are most valuable to residents. VERIFICATION Documentation: The Rater will collect an Accountability Form and other supporting documentation (such as a copy of the policy describing the transit pass/discount program) signed by the architect or owner/developer stating the measure has been met. INTENT To reduce greenhouse gas emissions and support local public transportation options.

INCORPORATE UNIT GREEN-UP POLICY
CRITERIA FOR QUALIFICATION One point of credit is available for implementing at least five GreenPoint Rated measures during unit turnover. The list of measures implemented may vary from unit to unit. The measures may be taken from the GreenPoint Rated Contract Addendum. To demonstrate the commitment to instituting GreenPoint Rated measures during the unit turnover process, a legally binding (or equivalent) agreement shall be created. The agreement shall be one of the following: ? ? ? A contract agreement between the owner and an external property management firm A procurement contract with external vendor(s) A policy document for internal property manager and/or maintenance staff
The agreement must include the following: ? ? ? ? ? Signatures of all relevant stakeholders involved in meeting the criteria for meeting this measure (i.e. owner, property manager, maintenance manager, vendor, etc.) A signed GreenPoint Rated Contract Addendum attached to and referenced by the Agreement Incorporation of proposed GreenPoint Rated measures into the checklist used as part of the unit turnover Completion of selected measures in at least one unit during renovation to evidence commitment to the process and to practice the realities of implementation A review of the Agreement, Contract Addendum, Implementation Plan, and updated unit turnover checklist with all relevant parties, including the Rater
VERIFICATION Field Verification: The Rater will conduct field compliance verification and attend meetings to review documents.
